Amazon.com Product Description The perfect complement to Tracfone prepaid wireless service, the slim candybar-style LG 300G offers an affordable way to stay in touch with family and friends across town and around the globe via voice communication and text messaging. With Net10 you get a single rate for every call--10 cents a minute--whether it's local, long distance or roaming. This phone features a color LCD screen, handsfree speakerphone, several organizer tools including scheduler and world clock, a phonebook with up to 500 entries, and up to 7 hours of talk time. Net10 Service The Net10 pay-as-you-go wireless service offers all local, long distance and roaming calls at one low price of 10 cents per minute. All Net10 prepaid wireless service is provided by TracFone Wireless--America's #1 prepaid wireless company with a national footprint covering 99 percent of the U.S. population. There are no contracts, credit checks, monthly fees, security deposits, activation or deactivation charges, or age restrictions. All Net10 handsets have a display that shows the actual airtime balance on the phone's display for ease of tracking usage. Net10 handsets also carry an "instant refill" feature that allows users to add airtime directly from the handset on a real-time basis. Key digital features include free call waiting, free caller ID, free voicemail and text messaging at 5 cents per message. You can buy bundles of minutes (which must be used within a set time limit of between 90 to 365 days) from the Net10 web site on your home PC or directly from your phone's web browser. For example, a purchase of 200 minutes of usage expires within 30 days of your first use. The amount of service time varies depending on how many minutes you purchase, and any minutes leftover from the previous purchase will be rolled over. If you do not purchase and add more airtime before a due date, your service will be deactivated and existing minutes will expire. You can also choose to call or text anyone in the U.S. on any network as much as you want for only $79.98 a month without signing a contract. Additionally, you can sign up for international long distance calling to over 60 international destinations (including Argentina, Brazil, China, Mexico, most European countries, and many more) from your Net10 phone for only 5 cents per minute plus airtime. Phone Features The LG 300G has a 1.5-inch color screen with a 128 x 128-pixel resolution and support for 65K colors. It sits above a standard navigation area with send/end buttons and soft navigatoin keys, and is complemented by a standard alpha-numeric keypad. The phone's small internal memory can store up to 500 contact entries in the handset's phone book, which is capable of storing multiple phone numbers per contact entry and offers support for picture and ringer ID (when used with caller groups). If you need basic messaging capabilities, the 300G has you covered as support is built-in for sending and receiving SMS text messages. The T9 predictive text technology is built into the unit, which autocompletes text for you as you type on the alpha-numeric keypad and offers options for selecting the correct word. Other features include: - Net10 Airtime Balance Display shows you how much airtime you've used and how much is left
- Includes 32 polyphonic ringtones
- Organizer tools: Calendar, alarm, calculator, stopwatch, world clock, notepad, unit converter, tip calculator
- Vibrating alert
- Multilingual menus (English and Spanish)
Vital Statistics The LG 300G weighs 2.1 ounces and measures 3.75 x 1.71 x 0.52 inches. Its 900 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 7 hours of talk time, and up to 240 hours of standby time. It runs on the 850/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS frequencies.

worst customer service I have ever come across August 5, 2010 Robyn L (Charlestown, NH) I bought my phone and requested for my tracfone number to be put on this one. 10 business days later still no transfer. I called net10 and spoke with someone I could barely understand (heavy spanish accent)and after putting in code after code, I was told my old number was transfered but it may take up to 24hrs. 24hrs later phone still does not make or receive calls. Called net10 again and was told that it may take 10 more business days to tranfer my number and it may still not work (What???) OR I can just get a new number. I opted for the new number, again I was told it may take up to 24hrs to work. Well to to cut the story short, 3 weeks have passed since I bought the phone and I still cannot make or receive calls. I have probably spent 5 hours of my life on the phone with them, entering code after code after code. Meanwhile the my service days on my phone keep going down. I strongly urge you NOT to buy any phone from net10.

Bought the phone and the Sim card was bad. Total waste of time. Will not buy another
Great Product and Service :) May 30, 2010 A. Tweedle (Jupiter, FL, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The LG300 is impressive. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about this phone and service. Net10 saves people tons compared to monthly cell contracts. By simply switching over to this service, it results in great savings, great coverage, and great phones (especially this one). It's high quality and really really easy to use. Great job Net10! Got it for the perfect low price on Amazon as well :)
Could be right/wrong for you depending on your needs. May 19, 2010 Gary W. Ailes (McMurray, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the LG300 (refurb) direct from Net10 and with a few promo codes it came to my door with 600 minutes and 120 days for a mere $22. The phone seems well built and the buttons are depressed enough that I've never pocket dialed.
The one problem I've had is almost every other call I make the people I call can't hear me and I have to hang up and redial.
In the end Net10 is not for me. I simply do not make enough calls to make it worth my while. I have about 15 days left (and over 1000 minutes). I wish Net10 would let you buy time packages without the minutes. I'm going to let it expire and 1000+ minutes are gone.
If you are a talking lightweight like me look at Tracfone as they let you buy a years worth of time for about $50 in addition to your minutes card. It's the better value for me.
Junk phones negate the great 10 cents per minute plan May 14, 2010 Paul Bellocq (Slidell, LA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used Net 10 for about 3 years. My first one was an LG clamshell with an antennna. Reception was great, even from a remote barrier island. Then the antenna broke off from that one and I wound up getting this one. Well, there was no antenna to break off, but also rotten reception to go with it. Move your thumb over the wrong spot and the call gets dropped. Terrible!!! Then after only about three months, the screen went totally out with more than 400 minutes left and all of my contacts. The phone still works because I called it from my home phone. So after agonizing over what to do, I logged into Net 10's website as a registered user. This was no help at all. An e-mail address was provided, so I wrote a long e-mail to them to ask what my options were. In transferring my old number and minutes from the old phone, both new and old phones need to be left on while one enters numbers into their web page. For this to happen, one needs to read a code from the old phone. In the case of a broken screen, this is impossible. Well, the e-mail came back as "undeliverable". That was the last straw!!! I will take a sledge hammer to this old phone and go with another company who does not charge by the day. Great plan, but crummy phones.
